GOSH !!!!! One more website to follow ....................................NOWAY !!! I had enough !!!!!

Well, Twitter does keep you up-to-date with things that you could be interested in but frankly speaking, I think its a total waste of time.
Who cares, what celebrities are doing .................................okay, I do read People magazine occasionally but getting tweets............................its just not my cup of tea. The only good thing is that "You are in control on Twitter" and unlike Facebook friendships are not forced upon you.

Library Thing 2.0

What a waste of time !!! Ya, the site was user friendly and pretty easy to navigate but who has the time to actually browse through all the titles, read reviews and organise their booklist. I'll definitely not be using the site in the near future.

GOOGLE DOCS 2.0

Yes !!! I absolutely see free online tools like Google Docs replacing expensive programs. I actually didn't know about Google Docs until now. I do see myself using it in the future.
The Google Calender is a useful tool too. It helps organise your schedule, though I don't think its useful for me.

Flickr & YouTube 2.0

I have been on You Tube a lot of times. I have made a playlist of all the nursery rhymes for my toddler. I find it very user-friendly.
As far as Flickr is concerned, I had heard of it but never took the initiative to look up the website. This excercise gave me an opportunity to know what Flickr is all about. I found it user-friendly. Right now, I am using Picasa to organise my pictures and to send them to my friends and family. So, I don't think I'll use Flickr as of now but in the future I may start using it. It's good to know about it.

RSS 2.0

This week's task was pretty interesting. I didn't know what RSS was, what it did etc. Now, I know how it works. I feel good about it . Setting up the account was easy. The only problem I encountered was initially it took a bit of time figuring out the various RSS feeds on a particular website. Some of the feeds were outdated, thats when I added the URL of the RSS feed that interested me to Bloglines and now the current feeds show up.
The other thing about Bloglines is that it just shows information, there are no pictures. So, it gets a little boring reading it.
On the other hand if you want to have a quick look at the stuff , its a nice way to read things, all from one site.

GOOGLE UNIVERSE 2.0

From all the different Google tools, I have used Picasa for quite some time. I love organizing my photos using Picasa. Its easy sending photos using this tool, moreover it offers several basic photo editing functions like color enhancement, red eye reduction, cropping etc. You can also create slide shows.
Picasa is a software that makes it easy and fun to view, organise, edit and share the digital photos on your PC.
The only thing I dont like about it is, there is a section "Photos by " and in that section instead of my name, there is a number written. I have tried many times to delete the number and to write my name instead but have been unsuccessful so far .
However,I would definately recommend it to my friends.

Facebook 2.0

I loved facebook. I have visited facebook before but didn't have an account. I had some concerns about privacy and I still do. I am not very comfortable with sending pictures etc but apart from that its awesome. Once I opened my account, I got in touch with most of my school and college friends that I didn't have any contact with earlier. I think I'll keep my facebook account .
